Teething biscuits are a serious business.
No, I did not put my baby in a frying pan. She sat there by herself. She even got out and then went back in.
Speaking of food...today we had a breakthrough at lunch. It's been difficult to get Liya to eat much besides her bottle. She really doesn't like being in the highchair and could care less about eating solid food. This afternoon I served her black beans for the first time and she loved them! It's a good thing because it is my staple food item so she'll be eating a lot more of those. She also ate green beans for the first time without making a "this is the most disgusting thing I've put in my mouth" face. She ate all I prepared except for a couple mouthfuls (which I hid in some pear-blueberry blend). I've lost count of how many times I have tried to feed her green beans. And, she actually drank water from her sippy cup instead of using it as a chew toy! Hurray for progress! We'll see how supper goes.
A few days ago I was working on my first Ethiopia trip post and then I lost access to my hard drive to get to the photos. One of these days I'll get it together.

Those teething biscuits look like a good snack to eat only if you are taking a bath right after! She's so cute! Thanks for the update!
LOVE it Lisa! Sounds like you guys are doing great. I have been working on ways of hiding veggies in the boys' food too and it's no easy task! Omelets are my latest secret weapon...they'll eat just about any veggie wrapped in egg and cheese...but I guess that doesn't help with a babe Liya's age. Good luck, Friend! Thanks for the photos update! She's a beauty :-)
YAY for the lunch breakthrough!! The picture with the teething biscuit all over her face made me laugh outloud. What a cutie!
I discovered that Lucy LOVES scrambled eggs. I know Liya's a couple months younger, but I think by 8 months eggs are ok.
Yay for breakthroughs! I love the pic of her in the skillet...I love how her belly hangs over the diaper! so precious.
